Launching a new era of space and opportunity
The future of space is taking off on the Central Coast.
Fueled by a $9.5 million state investment, REACH and a broad coalition of partners are launching Space Vandenberg — a far-reaching initiative to transform Vandenberg Space Force Base into the nation’s premier spaceport and innovation hub, creating thousands of good jobs and opening new doors for students and workers across the region.
With Vandenberg already the world’s second-busiest spaceport, Space Vandenberg positions the Central Coast at the heart of California’s space strategy—driving job creation, fueling entrepreneurship, and unlocking billions in investment.
