Focused action to drive near-term wins and progress

Spearheading regional-state collaboration on extended Diablo Canyon operations by stewarding the region’s long-term interests and involvement in decision making at the local and state level on the future of the plant and conservation of its surrounding lands.

Developing the Central Coast climate/energy innovation hub by advancing the co-use and reuse of facilities at Diablo’s Parcel P and other key sites through collaboration with regional stakeholders, supporting Cal Poly leadership to integrate energy assets with university strengths, and strategically directing SB 846 funds to attract R&D projects, partners and companies in clean energy and the blue economy.

Attracting and expanding cleantech and renewable energy companies by engaging with innovators in energy generation, storage, and efficiency to expand the Central Coast’s energy legacy in emerging areas such as floating offshore wind and fusion.

Maximizing community benefits and local job creation in the energy transition by championing policies, community engagement, and investments in infrastructure and workforce development to support local workers and communities.
