Celebrating another year of REACH 2030!

Board Chair Clint Pearce talking to a crowd“This year has perfectly illustrated the value of having a regionally focused organization with the agility to seize new opportunities as they arise, pivot to address unforeseen circumstances like COVID and stay focused on the long term.” — Clint Pearce, REACH Board Chair

Thanks to the collaboration and support of many people and organizations throughout the Central Coast, we were able to celebrate another year of success at our 2nd Annual Appreciation Event on October 5th at La Lomita Ranch in San Luis Obispo. We heard from Board Chair Clint Pearce and REACH President + CEO Melissa James on the accomplishments of this past year and a look ahead at what’s to come.

REACH CEP Melissa James at a podium“Over the past year, we’ve seen unprecedented collaboration across political aisles, jurisdictional boundaries and community interests. We have seen the regional vision catch on and take a life of its own in exciting new ways. And we have seen significant progress toward the development, not just of new jobs, but of entirely new global industries here on the Central Coast.” — Melissa James, REACH President + CEO

We highlighted all of our FY 2021-22 milestones — from advancing offshore wind, commercial space, and the future of Diablo Canyon, to laying the groundwork for housing and regional promotion — in this year’s Annual Report.

A special thank you to the vendors who helped make the event a success!
